Anna Callahan for
Medford City Council
Why I’m asking you to vote YES on questions 6, 7, and 8 this November
And if you’re more moved by music than graphs, check out my Invest in Medford jingle!
Let’s make our city better together!
I’m Anna Callahan, a software engineer and mom, and I live near Tufts Park with my husband and son. I’m dedicated to making city government work for everyone.
For the last few years I’ve trained people across the country in local electoral politics. I’ve learned from city councilors & mayors in dozens of cities.
What I will bring to the role of city councilor:
Commitment to meeting regularly with residents to tailor legislation and action to the needs of our micro-neighborhoods
An engineer’s solution-oriented mindset with out-of-the-box thinking
Dedication to data and outcomes and researching what has worked in other cities
Real change isn’t just passing policy —
it involves the whole community.
Meet Anna
I’m Anna Callahan, I’m a software engineer and mom, and I’m dedicated to making city government work for everyone.
I moved to the area in 2003 and fell in love with it. We now live near Tufts park and in the summer you can often find us at the pool — sometimes we’re there more than once a day! We love getting involved in projects where volunteers make amazing things happen. We sometimes go to School of Honk, this year we did the North Cambridge Family Opera, and we absolutely loved the Medford Cardboard Canoe Race. :D
I’m super interested in how to re-invigorate democracy, especially at the local level. For the last few years I’ve trained people in red, purple, and blue states to elect better representatives to their city council by increasing the engagement of working people. I have a passion for hearing the voices of people who aren’t usually engaged in politics.
